Do you want to learn how to do a handstand?
Join this workshop where you will learn everything you need to know to balance safely upside down!
The workshop is designed for those who:
✔ never did a handstand before
✔ have a problem with alignment, stability, finding balance
✔ can balance their handstand for a few seconds (without a wall), but quickly lose it
✔ are movement teachers, looking for inspiration and guidance on how to teach handstand to others
We will work on:
FOUNDATIONS STRENGTH BALANCE
WORKSHOP PLAN:
We will spend 3h on building solid foundations for the practice. The workshop plan includes:
✔ learning the correct warm-up and relaxation after training
✔ working on the correct positioning of the body, strength, sense of balance
✔ explanation of the correct positioning of the shoulder girdle in a handstand and exercises for opening the shoulders
✔ learning the correct core-work
✔ exercises to increase the mobility of the thoracic spine
✔ learning how to jump into a handstand, balance, interesting exercises to increase body awareness
✔ learning to assist others
During the workshop you will work on increasing your self-confidence and awareness of your body. You will learn to perform exercises that will help you unite your body and mind and create a solid foundation for handstand. You will work both independently and in groups, in an atmosphere of full support and mutual concern for safety, appropriate for all levels of advance.
FOREARMSTAND WORKSHOP:

Join this 1,5h workshop about pincha mayurasana - the forearmstand.
"Forearmstand - basics"
In this course you will learn how to practice forearmstand and balance in this position. We will break down this yoga pose to help you understand how to build solid foundations, and make your practice effective and safe. You will learn how to adapt this pose to your unique body type, how to stabilize your shoulders and balance with confidence. I will introduce you to many amazing exercises that will make balancing on your forearms easier than you think!
Open yourself to an exploration of pincha mayurasana! I can't wait to explore this asana with you.
HANDSTAND PLAYTIME:
Sunday 15:00 - 16:30h
This workshop is dedicated to all who are interested in diving deeper into the world of handstands. We will explore various handstand shapes, such as "seven", "tuck" or "straddle", or even "scorpio" and "hollowback". We will also look at different entries to handstand such as tuck jump and press up. Some experience in handstands would be useful, but joining the basic Saturday's workshop is already a great base for this one!
This workshop is open for everyone, with a regular yoga or handstand practice, who are curious about new stuff, and open to learn and explore!
